Last Friday was the third Maggies Culture Walk. This hugely successful event raises funds for the excellent work done by the Maggies Centre in Aberdeen. We have been involved with Maggie’s since the fund raising to build the centre started.
Last Friday was the first decent weather and I had several jobs to do while the sun was shining. One of the properties I had to photograph was Turlundie Lodge, a beautiful house on Charlestown Road, Aboyne. This traditional family home has a separate building used as guest accommodation, and has stunning river views from the back garden, and a lovely view to the Aboyne Green at the front.
Last week I was working at Ross Survival for 3 days photographing a large range of products for a new website. Dominika travelled from Poland to work with me to get all the photographs taken. There were a wide range of clothing and other personal protection equipment (ppe) and all products had to be photographed for a consistent clean look on a white background.
I photographed Jenny and Mike’s ceremony at Ardoe House on Saturday. Jenny and Mike arrived on Wednesday evening and I met them at Ardoe House to discuss and plan their wedding. They had 6 best men, 6 bridesmaids, and 4 flower-girls, and photography from 10.30am until after 11pm. When the booking was made on-line, I was not anticipating all of this, and I decided that it required two photographers and David worked with me. I also got my daughter Brittany to assist with the groups setting Jenny’s beautiful dress and veil.
