Torrential rain does not dampen Alan and Kathleen’s wedding day
Last Saturday (24th October) the torrential rain did not spoil the wedding of Kathleen and Alan at Manofield Church and the Tree Tops. The 160 guests all arrived clutching brollies trying to avoid getting soaked in the downpour. Lukas and I managed to photograph everyone as they arrived and were ready and waiting when the 5 bridesmaids arrived. After the service, we took the majority of the photographs at the altar and a few more back at the Tree Tops
Kathleen had asked for a shot of all the kilts and there were over 5o with kilts which posed quite a challenge inside. However after carefully picking based on heights , I managed to get everyone placed and was very glad of my extreme wide angle (14mm) to be able to get a shot excluding fixed lights in the reception of the hotel.
I had a pop up studio style background which avoids the problem of wall lights and distractions in the close up photographs. Hopefully this weekend will be better but as we head into November, we will get more used to working indoors, but as long as we are prepared, we can still get great images.
