On Saturday (26th Ocober, 2013) I was photographing Katie and Mark's wedding at Glamis church and Kinnettles Castle. I had not been to Kinnettles before and was delighted that it was such a great venue for photography. Although it was cold and the skies went dark a few times, we were very lucky with the weather.
We were a little restricted in where we could take photographs as the ground was very wet so we could not walk too far into the grounds and running shots with the group were not possible in the wet grass. However I got nice walking shots of Katie and Mark on a path and the autumn colours were beautiful. Autumn is my favourite time of year for wedding photography.
Katie was stunning and very easy to photograph. Not to forget the Groom. Mark looked very dashing in his morning suit.
Katie's bridesmaids too were stunning in a beautiful colour, and the girls were all great fun and willingly walked on their heels on the wet marshy grass so that I could get shots with the great autumn colours.
Even with all the beautiful colours, we will still want to use some of the images in black and white.
This is the view that the castle looks on to and although it was a dull grey day, it still made for a nice backdrop.
There were lots of great places for photography and I would have loved to spend more time taking photographs but with it being cold, and to ensure that Katie and Mark had time to mix with their guests, I worked quickly to finish at the agreed time.
