Photography for Harper UK

I am a member of BNI North and one of my fellow members, David Duncan of Harper UK commissioned me to take photographs of his team working on a large project on a vessel in Peterhead.

I had three visits to Peterhead. The first visit was to take shots of the steel work on the Quayside.

Unfortunately for both days of the mobilisation shots, we got heavy rain when photographing on the deck of the vessel.

This was a huge project fitting a very large pipe laying system on the deck of the 127m subsea construction vessel, the Normand Clipper, operated by Bibby Offshore. Harper UK had a large team on site working with 80 tons of steel to install the deck system for Technip.

The deck system was supplied by MDL, a company owned by a good friend of mine, Derek Smith.

These images will be used by David in social media, and the Harper UK website to promote the impressive capabilities of the company. Using this project as a case study, and telling the story, and showing the scale of the work can also be very useful to demonstrate Harper UK capabilities when sending tenders and quotes.

In the photographs, you can see the PPU in use. I photographed this at the company base in Colpy. Harper UK has a very large facility, and looks out on to Benachie. I had taken photographs for one of Harper UK clients, Taranki, and you can see a very small part of the facility in the images taken for them
