Viewing your portraits at home

As all our thoughts are on the COVID-19 situation and everyone’s priority is safety, photography is unlikely to be a high priority. However, we are trying to keep busy and we have a blogpost explaining our policies during this difficult period.

We have a lot of portrait clients who have portraits to view and although we normally do not like on-line viewing, we have come up with good options to re-create the viewing experience at home. Once you have the link and password (which can be shared with your family), you can use the online information and communicate with us by email to look at the options and decide. Alternatively you can book an on-line, telephone or video appointment to discuss the options while you view your portraits.

Choosing Images on-line

All clients who have portraits to view are going to get an email with a link to let them view their portraits on-line. To get around the problem of viewing or comparing expressions in similar images, we will enlarge and compare images and send you files to see this, helping ensure you make the correct choices. We can do this by email, or if you prefer, we can book a time for a phone or video meeting to provide this as you view the images. Our on-line diary will allow you to choose a time for a phone or video meeting.

Selecting Wall portraits

We can enlarge each person in a group to let you check expression, and we can also compare expressions from different images.

Once the best images are selected, the next stage is to choose the right size, and whether it will be frameless, in a thin box frame, or have a conventional frame, with, or without a mount. Provided we have an image of your wall, we can supply you visuals to scale by email, at different sizes.

If you would like to display a selection of images, this can be done in a single frame, and we can provide designs to choose from by email.

The most impressive and flexible option is to use separate frames to create clusters with matching or different heights, and we can provide as many visuals as you want to let you choose what works best.

I hope that these options will help you choose and get your family portraits while we all deal with this very difficult situation.

Thank you for your custom and support. Keep well and take care of yourselves and each other.
