Mike is quite an active user of social media regularly posting photographs taken on his phone. However for a few projects, he wanted better images and I photographed three projects
- A whole house renovation (new kitchen, bathroom, doors, and floors),
- A garden with decking, fencing, with artificial grass.
- A kitchen install
I suggested to Mike that although social media is a great form of marketing, having his own website becomes even more important as social media users wil often go to a company website for more information.
We sourced the domain: westdykejoinery.com, set up hosting, and created a visual that Mike liked. We then built the website using a responsive design so that it looks good on phones, tablets, and computers.
We got lots of iPhone photographs from Mike and edited these, and added them along with ones I had taken, and presented the next draft for feedback. I then created the text, which Mike will eventually edit and change himself using the on-line, easy to use editor. For every website we create, a training session on the admin panel is arranged, and also supply a pdf with a step by step guide.
The next stage is SEO (search engine optimisation) and we will add keywords and metadata to ensure Westdyke is easily found on serarches for the services Westdyke provide, and also for generic searches for joiners in Aberdeen.
Mike is delighted with both the photography and website – see below
I am delighted with the shots of Cindy’s kitchen. They look amazing and are a great tool for promoting Westdyke on our new website, and on social media.
I am also very pleased with our new website and your help with editing my phone images, writing the copy and creating a professional looking website is very much appreciated.
Aberdeenphoto.com are first and foremost photographers and we work with lots of web designers providing images. However website design, especially where photography is the key element, is a natural add on to our services.
