2019 Maggie’s Culture Crawl

Last Friday was the third Maggies Culture Walk. This hugely successful event raises funds for the excellent work done by the Maggies Centre in Aberdeen. We have been involved with Maggie’s since the fund raising to build the centre started.

Over 600 people donned the orange Maggies t-shirts and met at the Beach Leisure Centre for the start of the event with music from Albyn School’s Fazz Junk, and a high tempo work out before the 10 mile walk. The Lord Provost joined in on the warm up.

Unfortunately there was some heavy rain showers and as everyone started the walk, there were lots of waterproofs and brollies but it was a great atmosphere.

The downpour dampened everything except the walker’s spirits. The fantastic Gold Wing motor cycles leading the way with their music playing looked fantastic.

The first stop was at the Marine Operations Centre, and there were burgers supplied by the Rapid Relief Team, which despite the heavy rain went down well.

There were 9 stops before returning to the Link Ice Arena and you can see the route and stops here. All the walkers received a medal when they returned to the Link arena for Prosseco and food.

Registration is already open for 2020

All the images are available on-line and downloads of small files are free. Prints and full size files can be ordered and all proceeds are going to Maggies.

“Thank you so so much for doing us so proud yet again with photography on Friday night. The photos are all brilliant and there are some real crackers that we can use for PR and promotion.
Many thanks”

I featured this shoot at BNI for my 60s presentation this week and used sample images on an A3 print.

BNI WORKS

Last year the members of BNI Scotland North reported income in excess of £15.4 million in new business!

Globally, the 227,000 members of BNI passed over 9.8 million referrals which resulted in more than $13.6 billion in business.

One element of the meeting is that each member has 60 seconds to let the other members and visitors know about their business, and ask for a specific referral. Every week, I show one recent job, or a selection of the work done the week before.
